Tender description

Stockport Council on behalf of the North West Libraries consortium is considering options for an evidence based collection management system for Libraries, by means of the soft market testing exercise. We want to hear from any suppliers that could provide this service for the consortium members. The Authorities that form the North West Libraries consortium consist of Blackburn with Darwen, Blackpool, Bolton, Bury, Cumbria, Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, St Helens, Salford, Sefton, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Warrington, Wigan and Wirral. From the above list, there are 11 interested Authorities in this system. This exercise is to inform the Council’s decision making and is not intended to eliminate any suppliers, but is an open way to seek input from interested parties, in order that any subsequent full procurement process is as informed, efficient and effective as possible.
