CPU 2026 Ultra Low Emission Vehicle Charge Point Infrastructure Network

Tender description

Nottingham has been named one of the UK’s first Go Ultra Low Cities, receiving £6.120m funding from the Office of Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV). As part of the delivery programme, the Council has set aside up to £2m of OLEV funding to further develop publically accessible electric vehicle charging point infrastructure across Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and Derby. The grant is designed to create a charging network which will increase the usage and take up of electric vehicles. Nottingham City Council (the “Authority”) will lead the procurement on behalf of several other D2N2 local authorities (Derby City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council) for delivery of those local authority’s requirements within the Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and Derby area. . A number of other local authorities have expressed an interest in becoming future beneficiaries of this procurement. These are: Wolverhampton City Council and Derbyshire County Council. Whilst the Authority reserves the right for these other local authorities to use this procurement (and resulting concession contract) no guarantee can be given that any requirements of these other local authorities will be met through use of this procurement. The concession agreement will run for a period of 5 years with the option at the sole discretion of the Authority to extend for a further 5 years.
