Tender description

The University is intending to appoint 1 multi-disciplinary consultant team to a new framework for designing the major projects in the current Estates Development Vision (EDV) Vision Implementation Plan (VIP). This is a programme of projects across the University's 5 campuses that will include a range of requirements from formal teaching spaces, learning spaces, staff offices, breakout / informal study areas, workshops, laboratories, student social spaces, support spaces, performance spaces, and external areas. Appointments through the framework will be commissioned over a X year period from June 2017 to May 2021 with the option to extend by 1 year. Projects are expected to vary in duration from 2-5 years depending on size and complexity. The University's intention is to appoint a single consultant to provide all of the design services necessary to develop, tender and construct the major projects. This includes, but is not limited to: — Lead Consultant; — Architectural; — Building Services; — Civil and Structural; — Landscape; — BREEAM Assessor; — CDM (2015) Principal Designer. This includes, but is not limited to: Project Management; Cost Management; BIM Information Management.
