Tender description

The Wirral Plan sets out a vision for Wirral; a set of 20 Pledges which will be achieved over the next five years to improve the lives of Wirral residents. In order to achieve these ambitions, the Council needs to modernise and work in a completely different way, and ensure it has the right culture, abilities, skills and approach to deliver the 2020 Vision for Wirral. As part of this modernisation the Council is implementing a new operating model which includes three functions: Strategic Hub, Business Management, and Service Delivery. The Council’s Business Support Service is designated as a Service Delivery function within this new operating model and is currently operated in-house, with the purpose of providing front-line access and direct support for businesses and local organisations, in the pursuit of achieving the Wirral Plan business growth ambitions. Wirral Council is now looking to fundamentally change the way in which it provides this service and is seeking to procure a supplier with the appropriate skills, expertise and infrastructure to operate this service on behalf of Wirral Council.
