Tender description

The publication of this notice is to give advance notice that the Haematology Department of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust intends to undertake a tendering exercise for replacement of coagulation analysers for the total workload and is requesting information from the marketplace. The publication of this notice also provides information for potential tenderers to register for an upcoming supplier event. Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust intends to undertake a tendering exercise for the provision of a Managed Service Contract (MSC) for a coagulation testing solution. The Contract will include the provision of a coagulation testing solution to deliver the repertoire of tests outlined in this notice and as further detailed in the specification, the supply of all associated consumables and reagents, installation and implementation, support and maintenance and user training. The Managed Service Contract (MSC) will include the provision of a coagulation testing solution to deliver the repertoire of tests outlined in this notice and as further detailed in the specification, the supply of all associated consumables and reagents, installation and implementation, support and maintenance and user training. Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has 3 laboratory sites that provide coagulation testing. The Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital (NSECH), North Tyneside General Hospital (NTGH) and Wansbeck General Hospital (WGH). NTGH and WGH provide a basic repertoire of tests with NSECH providing additional specialist coagulation testing i.e. Thrombophilia screening, Lupus Screening and Factor assays. Additional services are being developed for the monitoring of direct oral anticoagulant drugs (DOACs).
