Tender description

NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (NHS AG CSU), acting on behalf of the NHS England Midlands and East (referred to as the Commissioner) invited suitably qualified and experienced healthcare service providers including third sector organisations, social enterprise and other providers to offer high-quality and safe Walk-In centre (WIC) as well as GP registered services (in accordance with General Medical Service Regulations) from the existing purpose built premises located at Rouen House, Rouen Road, Norwich. Under the co-commissioning intentions, NHS England Midlands and East (East) acted as the lead contracting and commissioning authority for the contract that resulted from this procurement. The Commissioner worked closely with other local Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) which included Norwich CCG, North Norfolk CCG and South Norfolk CCG for this procurement. The key objectives of this Procurement were: — To commission an NHS Walk-In centre (WIC) as well as GP registered services in accordance with General Medical Service Regulations for the patient community from the Norwich area. — And by doing so ensure that patients can access an improved quality and cost effective service.
