Tender description

A short-term high quality accommodation-based support service for adults with learning disabilities and high support needs; including complex physical and sensory needs and non-verbal communication. The aim of the service is to provide high quality person-centred support for 12 service users aged 18-65 with learning disabilities and high support needs to enable them to live a fulfilling life and participate meaningfully in their local community. The service provider will be expected to deliver core support hours and waking night support in the ratio 1:4, staff: tenant. This has been set to reflect the anticipated support needs of the tenant service user group as a whole, and may be varied from time to time in consultation with care managers and endorsed by commissioners, if needs or tenants change. Organisations wishing to tender for this service are required to have a comprehensive track record providing a comparable service in the past 3 years, i.e. — Managing housing support services for Learning Disabilities. — Delivering services under the Supporting People programme either as a Registered provider or as a Support Provider.
