Tender description

Who Speclialist Work With The MOD agile project team including the Service Manager, Product Manager, Delivery Manager, User Researcher What Specialists Work On MOD provides historical information held in the personnel files of Service Personnel (Service Records), Aircraft Casualty Files and Home Guard Records. Requesters complete forms obtained via the Service Records site on Gov.UK or by contacting the Service disclosure branches, (Army, Navy, and RAF). Completed forms are submitted by post with proof of identification & a cheque (if required). DBS has been tasked with improving the service through digitisation of the citizen facing front end. Work to be completed by 31st March 17. Where the Work Takes Place It is expected that the majority of the time will be spent in Bristol, at MOD DBS Abbey Wood North but there may be some travel to other MOD sites such as London to engage with users. Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements The specialist is expected to work a 5 day week to work alongside DBS architect and development staff to enable skills transfer. No homework permitted. Work Location It is expected that the majority of the time will be spent in Bristol, at MOD DBS Abbey Wood North but there may be some travel to other MOD sites such as London to engage with users. Security Clearance SC level required to be in place. Additional T&Cs Skills & Experience Extensive experience in planning, and development of digitised forms prototype Proven experience in use of industry standard web application technologies such as HTML, CSS, Java, Javascript, PHP, Ruby and Python Proven experience in use of service-based technologies such as SOAP, RESTful APIs, XML messaging and JSON Experience of deploying and building web applications on Cloud Foundry using buildpacks and the CLI Constructive planning to enable skills transfer Nice to Haves No. of Specialists to Evaluate 6 Cultural Fit Criteria Works as a team with our organisation and other suppliers Work in a collaborative and transparent manner Share knowledge and experience with other team members Can work with individuals with low technical expertise Assessment Method Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 50% Cultural fit 10% Price 40% Questions from Suppliers Budget range up to £650 per day
