City College Plymouth currently operates two training Salons from its Kings Road site. The Salons; "Creative Solutions" (Upstairs) and "Stars" (Ground floor) provide a real-life experience for students who offer treatments to clients. The Stars salon is also a commercial salon. As such, the team find they are washing and drying a high volume of towels and other linen. At present, the team find they are replacing the domestic machines frequently, and down-time can cause issues. Therefore the College seeks to purchase two semi-industrial or industrial tumble dryers. The College seeks to have these installed and in place by no later than mid-January. The anticipated value is well below the thresholds set in the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 however the opportunity is advertised on Contracts Finder to enable greater publicity.
