Summary of the work Business analysis of current specialist fire IT system including; UML model, and diagrammatic representation. High level design of new specialist fire IT system needs, UML model, and diagrammatic representation. Specialist role Business analyst Latest start date Feb 2017 Maximum Day Rate Variable day rate for right candidate, must be inclusive of travel & subsistence; no other fees to be chargeable Target rate £500 - £650 Who Speclialist Work With Mainly 2 x Head Office staff, but about 20 others in meetings or during UX What Specialists Work On A document listing the high-level business functions included in, provided, the scope of this analysis A UML model describing the Fire Safety business processes and decision making. A structured plain English narrative describing an overview of the existing solution, and its scope and integrations, with appropriate diagrams. With regard to the new solution, there should be a high level diagram describing these aspects of the ICT: What and where Other existing systems that would provide and receive data to/from the new solution. All documentation, diagrams, UML diagrams and models shall be contained within a single project using SPARX Enterprise Architect Skills & Experience • Ability to produce a document listing the high-level business functions • Ability to produce a UML model describing business processes and decision making. • Proven experience to deliver within a team of varying availabilities • At least 5 years business analyst experience • Experienced in analysing functionality in existing systems • Experienced in analysing system requirements at the system level • Able to interview users to document business requirements • Experienced running workshops and actively managing them to determine business requirements • Able to produce clear written documentation from workshops and meetings prior to modelling activities • At least 2 years experience with SPARX Enterprise Architect Nice to Haves • Familiar with Windows Forms Applications • Familiar with ASP.NET applications • Familiar with Microsoft SQL Server • Familiar with Windows 10 • Familiar with Microsoft Universal Apps • Experienced in Blue Light organisations Work Location LFB Headquarters 169 Union Street London SE1 0LL Working Arrangments Mainly on site 5 days a week, however open to fewer days per week, but typically on site No. of Specialists to Evaluate 3 Cultural Fit Criteria • Understanding of the Brigade’s culture and the length of decision making • Use a working methodology suitable for Blue Light organisations • Be able to support direct onsite engagement • Work as a team with our organisation and other suppliers • Transparent and collaborative when making decisions Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 60% Cultural fit 20% Price 20% Questions from Suppliers 1.
