This opportunity listing is to provide information for future bidders only with regards to this category of spend. This is not the OJEU advertisement or tender documentation. This framework seeks to establish an All Wales complaint agreement for the use of various vascular access devices. The tender will also see the incorporation of additional items that have not been part of the previous Purchasing Agreement. There is a requirement for some items to be delivered direct to Health Boards This includes non safety cannula (standard), non ported safety cannula, needle IV, Intraosseous, port access devices and accessories, central venous catheters, midline catheters, picc line catheters and arterial cannulas. The central venous catheters, midline catheters, picc line catheters and arterial cannulas are going to be placed on a direct call off framework with the option to run ‘mini competitions’. There is currently an All Wales complaint agreement for safety cannulas which is being utilised across the Health Boards in Wales. Due to this agreement it is envisioned that the non safety cannula (standard) will decrease in demand during the contract period.
