Tender description

Translink wishes to acquire the services of a suitably qualified contractor to provided planned maintenance, breakdown cover and out of hours support for our plant assets which includes but is not limited to: — 2 No Komatsu PW140/7 road rail excavators including Rexquote rail conversion, — 2 No Windhoff AST 8 tamping heads, and — Rail attachments such as rail grabs, thimbles, tilt hitches and buckets. These works will invariably be located across Northern Ireland and in areas associated with rail, transport, infrastructure and consequently will be in safety critical infrastructure environments. The requirement of this contract is that all breakdown response times must be achieved within 3 hours and all maintenance staff must be Komatsu Factory trained, in addition to having been trained on Rexquote rail conversions of construction machinery. 1.1 Duration: The contract duration will be for a period of 4 years with the option to extend annually by 2 years. 1.2 Value: The value of this service contract is anticipated as a maximum of 500 000 GBP over the duration of the contract and has been advertised in OJEU. There is no guarantee that this service contract will achieve this level of purchases.
