This is a Contract Award Notice The SPS has a requirement to standardise the approach to EPOS and the purpose of this Contract is to implement an integrated system to manage the purchasing of canteen items and network this solution across SPS establishments. The purpose of standardising the EPOS system is to support the processes which ensure common national product listings and pricing can be managed and distributed from a central point across the entire public estate for SPS canteen purchases. The Supplier shall ensure that the SPS have a fully compliant networking system for all sites listed in Part 2 of Schedule B. The system shall enable all EPOS installations be connected to the Scottish Prison Information Network (SPIN) with a Head Office module that controls and consolidates all EPOS installations centrally. The safe transfer and security of data are paramount to the SPS. The SPS continually supports research and development and the system shall be capable of interfacing with other systems in the future to allow prisoners to look up national canteen products by name, price and possibly by sample picture (e.g. in-cell systems or landing based kiosk style services). This Contract shall be a 3 year term with extension options for up to 3 years for the provision and maintenance of an integrated EPOS system. This shall enable the supply and provision of a range of hardware equipment, software, support and maintenance services related to the EPOS system to any SPS Site which has a requirement. The SPS shall not guarantee annual volumes for individual Goods and Services throughout its Sites. Similarly, there shall be no guarantee of minimum order quantities or values.
