The Higher Education Statistics Agency Limited (‘HESA’) collects a range of data from approximately 260 higher education (‘HE’) providers across the UK and is regarded as a global leader in HE data collection and dissemination. The Data Futures Programme will fundamentally redesign and transform HESA's data collection and dissemination processes. HESA's vision is for a modernised more efficient approach to collecting data that is able to respond to a wide range of data users. HESA has produced an outline business case and has received funding approval in principle to redesign and transform the collection of student related data. HESA intends to appoint a Prime Contractor to take responsibility for the programme management and to design and deliver the ‘to be’ business processes, technology and application architecture integrated as necessary into HESA's business systems.See https://www.hesa.ac.uk/df_procurement. Total value below is estimated at between 2 000 000 GBP – 4 000 000 GBP (exc VAT). HESA will shortly undertake a procurement exercise (in accordance with the competitive dialogue process). As preparation for the procurement, high level ‘to be’ data collection, dissemination and governance processes are being developed together with high level requirements for the technical & application architecture. It is anticipated these will be available as part of the procurement documentation and summary information will be available at the Suppliers' Event. HESA will host a Suppliers' Event on Friday 26 February 2016 at 10am at Pinsent Masons, 3 Colmore Circus Queensway, Birmingham, B4 6BH to provide interested suppliers with an overview of the opportunity, indicative timetables, and HESA's expectations for the market engagement exercise.
