Hoveton Wetlands Restoration Project - Baseline PASE fish Surveys

Natural England therefore requires a contractor to carry out baseline PASE surveys of Hoveton Great Broad/Hudson’s Bay and four neighbouring broads; Wroxham, Salhouse, Decoy and Hoveton Little/Pound End Each broad must be surveyed seasonally (winter, spring, summer, autumn). All surveys must be carried out consecutively over ~2 weeks and this period must coincide with other baseline fish surveys being undertaken by the Environment Agency. In addition, the contractor will be required to support Environment Agency staff in undertaking other baseline fish surveys. This will typically involve helping to check other static survey equipment, refuelling generators and provide on-going dialogue about survey findings as the surveys progress. The exact nature of the work will be agreed with the Environment Agency prior to the start of the surveys but for the purposes your Tender, you should assume that long days in the field, including work outside of normal office hours and into the night may be required. For guidance purposes only it is considered that 40 survey days may be considered as likely, however it is up to the tenderer to suggest number so fays according to their method and approach.
