Tender description

Portsmouth City Council ‘the Authority’ has recently completed an extensive review of the in house and private and voluntary sector day services commissioned for people with a learning disability. The Authority now wishes to invite tenders from suitably qualified suppliers to provide Day Services in Portsmouth. The Service will be split into 3 Lots and suppliers are permitted to submit bids against 1 or more Lots. Lot 1 — Health and Independence Services; Lot 2 — Employment/Work Services; Lot 3 — Community Connection Services. The Authority anticipates awarding Lot 1 to up to 4 organisations. Single suppliers will be engaged to provide Lots 2 and 3. The Authority is targeting to have awarded the contracts by 15.4.2016 with a subsequent commencement date of 13.6.2016. Further information is provided in the tender documentation which can be accessed via the Council's Intend e-sourcing system. https://in-tendhost.co.uk/portsmouthcc/aspx/home To create and develop a small Community Connection service to act as an information hub and provide links to services, helping to identify and refer individuals to appropriate local support services, leisure activities and other opportunities. A single supplier will be awarded the contract for Lot 3. To develop one City wide Employment/Work service identifying work opportunities, providing support for individuals to successfully apply for paid work, volunteering and education and training opportunities. The service will help individuals to maintain the placements, and support people to move on to further opportunities that use the skills developed. A single supplier will be awarded the contract for Lot 2. To create a Health and Independence service for the city focussing on meaningful activities that promote health, wellbeing and independence for individuals by developing individual's skills and abilities. This service will operate out of 4 buildings within the City and will be awarded to up to 4 organisations.
