Tender description

We will be awarding a contract to supply and install a 500KJ temporary rockfall barrier above the A82 at Primrose Bay Loch Ness. The rockfall barrier is being installed to provide protection to the A82 during skyline timber harvesting operations which are scheduled to commence in Spring 2016. The harvesting work is being delivered as part of FES's A82 Project. The Temporary Rock Fall Barrier is to be constructed to the following specification: — Catch Fence high tensile strength; — 500kJ impact energy absorption; — 3 m height; — 50 m length panels with 3 m minimum overlap; — Total length approx 600 m (excluding overlaps); — Expected 5 year design life for constructed components.
