Tender for Asbestos Survey and Sample Analysis

PCH will appoint two providers to undertake its Asbestos Survey and Sample Analysis requirements. The contract will be for a 3 year period with a further annual extension by agreement of/with PCH and confirmed in writing by PCH up to a maximum of 5 years in total. You or one of your subsidiary companies will not be awarded this Contract and the Removal and Re-instatement Tender/Contract, we will allow you to bid for both but you will NOT be awarded both. The specification for Asbestos Management Surveys and Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys (R & D Surveys) is included within this and surveys shall be conducted against this specification. The objective of this Contract is to provide Plymouth Community Homes (PCH) and its residents living across the city of Plymouth a value for money, customer focused quality service that meets their expectations. PCH will ensure that the Supplier is able to demonstrate that it employs sound management practices; operatives are suitably qualified and have the necessary instruction, skills, training and experience to carry out the work in a safe efficient manner. The Supplier must also be able to demonstrate, through their policies and procedures that they undertake adequate supervision, monitoring and review of their employees’ work. In addition, they should be able to show they provide written procedures for their operatives defining the extent to which “responsible operatives” can exercise their professional judgement. The Supplier should therefore have in place procedures for operative selection, training and qualification. The annual spend is approximately £60,000 – £80,000 total per annum with a 50/50 split between the two contractors, (primary and secondary supplier). Keywords: Asbestos Survey, Asbestos Sampling
