BHRUT requires a sole supplier for the provision of an automated, single platform, point of care testing device for urinalysis and urine pregnancy testing pan-site. The device will have functionality for full connectivity to ConWorx PoCT Solutions. The supplier must have a device which is compatible with either the Cobas IT1000 or Siemens RapidComm data manager software; and restrict untrained or unauthorised staff from performing tests, automatically interpret patient results, have a QC lock-out function, facilitate the full traceability of results (error flags, Lot No, patient demographics), be compliant with MHRA, ISO22870 standard for laboratory accreditation and best practice, and have CE markings. The technical measuring range for urine hCG must cover 25 — 600,000 IU/L and urinalysis measurement must include specific gravity, pH, leukocytes, nitrite, protein, glucose, ketones, urobilinogen, haemoglobin and erythrocytes. ‘The Trust are aware of only a single supplier for the installation, software and maintenance of this equipment and unless we are informed via this DUE North portal by any other supplier in the marketplace within 14 days (COB 15.12.2016) we intend to start negotiations with the known supplier as a single tender action procedure and agree a contract for this provision.’.
