Tender description

The Young People's Health Agency Service shall offer access to advice and structured interventions on substance misuse, smoking, alcohol and emotional health. The work of the agency supports work in the area of the Health Improvement domain of the Public Health Outcomes Framework 2013-2016. The service will provide counselling in relation to drugs, alcohol and emotional health. These interventions are classified as Specialist for drugs and alcohol and Targeted for emotional well being. The service will also provide Smoking Cessation services that will operate on an outreach model in schools, colleges and youth settings. By outreach it is meant that a service is delivered to young people in settings in the community. The service will provide a team of qualified counsellors who will support young people in schools and also offer a service out of school in primary care settings or suitable youth friendly locations to meet need. The school-based counsellors will offer at least one day a week in each of the borough's secondary schools. The agency will take referrals from schools,Child & Adoloscent Mental Health Services ACCESS team, General Practitioners, Accident & Emergency, Youth Service (4Children), Youth Support Team Children's Specialist Services and self referrals.
