Tender description

Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) invites tenders to deliver a Direct Payment Support Service. Cambridgeshire has a diverse demography and CCC wishes to work with an organisation who can demonstrate innovative ways to meet the needs of service users in the county. The current provider has approximately 1 150 clients on their database. Of those people, 520 are using the payroll service and 339 are utilizing a managed account. We anticipate the number of active cases will be up to 400 at any one time, although there may be seasonal changes to this number. (Active cases are people who have been referred to the service and are currently being supported to put a delivery plan in place). Initially the service will be for people who meet the eligibility criteria for services in Cambridgeshire and will only include social care personal budgets. The other Authorities named in the notice may choose to use this contract in the future. Cambridgeshire County Council's maximum annual budget for the information, advice and PA Register (the ‘block’) is 186 000 GBP. Service users may purchase additional services. Taking into account the other Authorities that may use the service, the estimated contract value is between 930 000 GBP and 1 700 000 GBP. The initial contract period is 3 years with the option to extend for a further 2 years.
