Tender description

North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is a commissioning support service hosted by NHS England and is managing this process for and on behalf of NHS England North (Cumbria and North East)(The Contracting Authority). NHS England are accountable for the provision of Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) in the Cumbria and North East England area and are proposing to commission an APMS contract. The aim of the service is to deliver a comprehensive Primary Medical Service for registered patients. The procurement will look to appoint a Provider that has the capability and capacity to plan and deliver a range of services to address health issues in the community. The Provider will be required to deliver the full range of those services included within the Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) contract. The procurement process is looking for a single supplier to deliver this APMS contract. The Provider will be required to deliver the service from two sites. These will be from existing sites in North Ormesby and Marske and will require the delivery of a violent patient service at both sites. Currently this is only delivered from the Resolution Health Centre in North Ormesby. As of July 2016 the Resolution Health Centre had a patient register of 5 296 and Marske Medical Centre had a patient register of 5 260.
