Ashfield District Council (hereafter referred to as ‘the Council’) is located in northwest Nottinghamshire. The Council District covers the towns of Sutton in Ashfield and Kirkby in Ashfield to the north, Hucknall to the south, and numerous villages and rural locations. Tenders are being sought to provide kennelling services in relation to stray dogs received by the Council’s appointed Stray Dog Collection Service (see separate tender). Contractors are invited to bid for: 1. The provision of adequate kennelling facilities for the kennelling and re-homing of stray dogs which have either been collected by the Council's Dog Collection Service or found by members of the public. It is anticipated that any contract resulting from this exercise will be awarded no later than 28th February 2017. The Council will require a guarantee for 12 months for any work undertaken. The contract length is 3 years with the option to extend for an additional 1 year and then another 1 year The contract commencement date is 1st April 2017.
