Tender description

To further develop an Assistive Technology Service for vulnerable residents across Rutland. The aim is to provide technological responses to vulnerable people, supporting independence and wellbeing in their own homes, reducing the need for residential care. This will be a fully managed service covering all aspects of the Assistive Technology provision in Rutland, from initial assessment of the needs of the individual, provision and installation of necessary equipment, a comprehensive telecare monitoring service, maintenance of equipment, through to removal/disposal of equipment. Typical equipment may include: personal alarms, pressure mats, falls detectors, movement sensors, gas/smoke/temperature detectors, medication prompters, pagers, etc. The 3 year contract may be extended by up to 3 periods, each of 1 year, giving a maximum contract period of 6 years.
