Who Speclialist Work With Multi-disciplinary team: back and front end developers, technical architect, user researcher, product managers, delivery manager and content designer What Specialists Work On The specialist will work on 2 projects: 1. Notify - support transition to public beta/live - support through the accreditation process - roadmap and implementation to move to PaaS 2. Digital Marketplace - roadmap to support refactoring of the platform - roadmap and implementation to move to PaaS Across both projects: - providing skills transfer to civil servants on the teams Where the Work Takes Place Aviation House, Kingsway, Holborn , London Early Market Engagement None Working Arrangements Monday to Friday based in our office (currently Holborn we will be moving to Aldgate within the next 6 months) starting work by 9.30am, 7.5 hours per day + lunch time Work Location Aviation House, Kingsway, Holborn , London Security Clearance SC security clearance is required or willingness to undertake SC vetting process. Additional T&Cs Standard Cabinet Office T&C's Skills & Experience Experience collaborating closely with colleagues in order to meet users’ needs Experience debugging a complex, multi-server service in a high availability production environment. Please give examples. Experience using several languages such as Python within an existing, production codebase Experience with commodity cloud platform providers such as AWS in a production system. Please give examples. Using Terraform, Packer, CloudFormation and Ansible as configuration management tools in a complex production environment. Experience of setting up and using a continuous delivery and deployment pipeline using Jenkins, in a production environment. Please give examples. Demostrable experience of using continuous integration and version control (git) to create an application deployment workflow to a production environment Evidence/examples of a rigorous approach to software development (TDD, code review, pairing) Experience and ability to develop tooling for automation and provisioning. Please give examples Nice to Haves Proven interest in DevOps, and infrastructure as code Experience of the process of adding features to open source software and the approach to documentation Experience administering common open source databases like Postgres, MongoDB, Redis etc. in a production environment. Please give examples Knowledge of PaaS and CloudFoundry Experience of DMARC Experience supporting a production environment and supporting technical customers/users Experience of working in multiple agile teams, please give examples.
