Tender description
Having been recently appointed by the NHS Wandsworth Clinical Commissioning Group (WCCG) as the Multispecialty Community Provider (MCP) across the Borough of Wandsworth, Battersea Healthcare CIC is seeking to engage with potential providers of Community Adult Health Services (CAHS). It is the intention of Battersea Healthcare CIC to commence a process before Christmas 2016 in order to award a contract by April/May 2017 with the current expectation for delivery of new CAHS by the summer of 2017. Whilst Battersea Healthcare CIC is under no lawful obligation to comply with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, it is nevertheless committed to invite expressions of interest through a transparent process, hence this Contracts Finder Notice to facilitate market awareness and interest. The value of the contract intending to be established is up to £15.9m per year and is intended to run for a minimum of 4.5 years with the potential for a further 3 + 2 years (9.5 years in total). The scope of the new Community Adult Health Services (CAHS) are broad and full details are provided within the attached draft specification. This is an innovative partnership model where the new service provider will work closely with Battersea Healthcare CIC as the newly appointed MCP provider in Wandsworth, potentially as a subcontractor, but certainly having close and regular engagement to develop new and innovative pathways and models of care to drive benefits for patients and the NHS. The expected collaborative approach is likely to involve joint governance structures and closely aligned management teams between the organisations for the duration of the contract. Expressions of Interest are now invited to engage further including attending an engagement event. This event will be pivotal to informing the finalisation of the service requirements and the design of a proportionate process to award the contract. Responses to this invitation will be used to inform the extent to which a competitive process may be appropriate. Battersea Healthcare CIC reserves the right to not run a competitive process. Please respond by confirming your interest in this contract opportunity ASAP to Ekkehard Kugler, NHS Shared Business Services via email (see below). The market engagement event is planned to take place on 5th December 2016 in the afternoon in Wandsworth and confirmation of the venue details will be sent to organisations responding by email. Note: NHS Shared Business Services is providing support to the Battersea Healthcare CIC as it seeks to award the contract.
