Support services for road transport

Tender description

We wish to engage suppliers with direct capability to deliver and manage Traffic Management activities in accordance with Highways England standards and specifications (including National Highways Sector Scheme 12A, 12B, 12C and 12D) and may also include capability for principal contractor / design services. We will be holding a supplier day on 20.12.2016 in Leeds. The event will include a progress update, details on our objectives for the sector and provide suppliers the opportunity to feedback and share ideas on how we procure these services to support the safe and efficient delivery of the Roads Investment Strategy. Details will be made available to companies who register interest. Suppliers with the appropriate capability to provide the goods and services described are welcomed from across the Industry including SMEs. You can register interest by advising contact points shown at I.1. Attendance is initially strictly limited to a max of 1 representative from each organisation. Over the first Roads Investment Strategy period Highways England expects to spend in the region of GBP1bn on Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) services. These services are currently provided through different contract models including a dedicated framework owned by Highways England. We want to engage with the TTM supply chain to provide an opportunity to feedback and influence how we work with them in the future. We would particularly like to explore how we can procure these services to support the safe delivery of the Roads Investment Strategy at pace whilst achieving efficiency savings.
