Tender description
Awarded to : Respro Date : 11 Nov 2016 3 Offers DFB require a compressed air system to fill its 350 X 9L 300Bar breathing apparatus cylinders 24/7. The system must be capable of delivering at least 64,000 litres of air per hour to BS 12021: 2014 with a moisture level of less than 20mg m³ in all atmospheric conditions (high or low humidity) which are likely to be found in the area of the training centre for the foreseeable future. The system must be capable of filling at least 24 cylinders per hour continuously to 300+ bar pressure. The system must be capable of continuously monitoring and recording the quality of air it produces. The system must be capable of continuously monitoring and recording its work output. The system must be capable of alerting DFB logistics at the same time as the maintenance contractor when a service is required or when a problem has or is likely to occur. The system must have an immediate shut down capability in the event of a reduction in air quality. The system must have at least 50% redundancy in both the charging and filtering systems. The system must be capable of operating while being serviced or repaired. All control systems must be fully automatic. The frequency of servicing required by the system must be clearly indicated in the Pricing Schedule ( Appendix A). The cylinder filling stations must be designed to comply with Regulation 28 of the Use of Work Equipment Regulations 2007. The design of the filling stations must be such that personnel in the vicinity are protected in the event of a catastrophic failure of the cylinder or associated equipment. More than one solution may be offered but a max of three per supplier must apply.
