Tender description
Framework Agreement for the Supply and Maintenance of CO2 Detection Analysers. The Home Office Border Force uses modified CO2 Detection Analysers to detect the presence of persons stowed within the loads of a freight vehicle. This is not a requirement for personal safety purposes. The Authority requires a framework agreement for the supply and maintenance of Carbon Dioxide Gas Analysers (‘Analysers’) which must be of a light weight compact but robust design suitable for use within a seaport environment for the detection of illegal migrants stowed within freight vehicle trailers. Authority officers are issued with Analysers to screen roll-on roll-off freight trailers and containers for the presence of illegal migrants. An adapted ski pole is connected to the Analyser to sample the air inside of the freight trailers. Analyser must therefore be capable of operating in conjunction with this method of gas sampling and must be able to accommodate a CPC connector attachment (RS Components Stock No. 387-2482, Part No. MC2202) or an alternative connector of an equivalent specification which must be provided by the Supplier. The Analyser with the connector will be attached to the adapted ski pole by the Authority using 6mm clear AlteVin Industrial PVC Tubing, 3.00mm bore, 1.5mm walls together with a series of syringe filters to complete the assembly. Bidders offering Analysers which are declared compliant with the Authoritys specification through their RFP responses will be invited to provide two (2) Analysers for the purposes of a field trial which will form part the technical evaluation process.
