Tender description

The purpose of this notice is to draw the attention of potential suppliers to a procurement that Wiltshire Council intends to commence forthwith, for the Deployment of State Aid Compliant NGA / Ultrafast Broadband Infrastructure in Wiltshire, in 2 distinct lots. A non disclosure agreement will need to be signed before access is granted to documents. Lot No 1 — Further deployment of NGA Broadband infrastructure within North Wiltshire — Both Wiltshire Council and The Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership (SWLEP) see the further extension of NGA Broadband infrastructure within Wiltshire as of key strategic importance. This Wiltshire Online Project will provide broadband infrastructure across Wiltshire that is capable of directly supporting the Local Body's long-term business plan and aspirations to: — Create stronger and more resilient communities. — To continue to protect the most vulnerable in our communities. — Boost the local economy, creating and safeguarding jobs. — To support and empower communities to come together and do more for themselves. — Deliver superfast / NGA broadband and improve digital literacy and access to technology, working to roll it out in line with BDUK's national objective of 95 % coverage by December 2017, whilst offering information and support to both businesses and residents.
