Tender description

The development of the Trust's Integrated Procedure Unit on the first floor over the main Oak Road entrance will enable the organisation to provide a ground floor space specifically focused on patient amenity. There is a recognition that hospital visits can be stressful and time consuming. The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is looking to provide a central hub with high quality shop and café facilities to enable patients to relax and orientate themselves. The new space will contain space for a café area and 1 or 2 retail outlets. The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is looking for partners to help deliver our vision of developing a world class entrance into our world class cancer centre. The new entrance is intended to be the Main Entrance for The Christie and will be anchored by a new main reception that will direct patients and visitors to other parts of the campus. These facilities will replace an existing café and shop. Lot 1 — Café. Located in the main entrance area, in an open plan environment, with space for a servery and back of house area adjacent to the main entrance vestibule. There will be dedicated customer seating area alongside patient and visitor seating in the main concourse. The new entrance is intended to be the Main Entrance for The Christie and will be anchored by a new main reception that will direct patients and visitors to other parts of the campus. These facilities will replace an existing café and shop. Lot 2 — Retail Unit(s). A pair of adjacent units, capable of being occupied as a single, or 2, unit(s) in a prime position immediately opposite the main entrance doors and the proposed café seating area.
