Tender description

The reablement service forms part of the intermediate care service supporting the promotion of independence and faster recovery from illness. The service aims to prevent unnecessary acute hospital admission, premature admission to residential care, support timely discharge from hospital, to minimise, delay or avoid the need for long term domiciliary supports and to maximise independent living. Work has been undertaken improve effectiveness of reablement as well as throughput. Significant changes are to take place within the reablement service. Lancashire County Council is intending to procure reablement services in the coming months and is seeking interest in a provider briefing session where the commissioning intentions for the new procurement will be set out. The session will take place 12.12.2016 in Preston. Interested providers need to contact caphprocurement@lancashire.gov.uk to book a place. A maximum number of lots that may be awarded to one tenderer may be set. Reablement services to be delivered in East Lancashire: Ribble Valley. Pendle. Hyndburn. Burnley. Rossendale.
