Summary of the work The Web Ops Specialist will work closely with development team to ensure continuous delivery capabilities. Specialist role Web operations engineer Expected Contract Length Up to 2 years. The initial SoW will be for 30 days followed by further more detailed SoW Latest start date 09/01/2017 Maximum Day Rate Day rate of up to £650 per day Early Market Engagement None Who Speclialist Work With The Web Ops Specialist will work closely with Delivery manager and fellow Web Ops engineers. The Web Ops team consists of approximately 9 Development Ops engineers, a product manager and a delivery manager. What Specialists Work On The Web Ops Specialist will work closely with development team to ensure continuous delivery capabilities. Skills & Experience • Demonstrable multidisciplinary expert who has a deep understanding of networks, firewalls, load-balancing, high availability, disaster recovery, TCP &UDP services in a virtualised and/or cloud environment • Experience of Cloud Hosting (Amazon AWS) • Experience in "0" downtime deploy strategies, containerisation (Docker) • Experience of Development backgrounds (including Python) • Knowledge and experience of software build and deploy pipelines (Jenkins) • Knowledge and experience of Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana • Understanding of SaltStack • In depth knowledge of AWS, including: VPC, EC2, RDS, Cloudformation, IAM, AMIs, CLI/API • In depth knowledge of linux • Knowledge of the ELK stack. • Knowledge of Elastic Search. • Knowledge of rails and django. • Knowledge of Boto AWS API. • Able to architect highly available and resilient cloud architectures • Understanding of how to secure complex could platforms. • Customising amazon AMIs. • Experience with Boto AWS API • Experience working within Agile Teams. • Must provide detail work history (using the standard work history template) by the closing date and time. Nice to Haves • Work on migration of legacy service to public cloud • Work with senior collegues • Excellent collaborations skills and working in a team • Experience with Azure. Work Location 102 Petty France, London SW1 - This assignment will mainly be carried out at these MOJ offices. From time to time travel will be required to other MoJ offices (normally in London) where customers are located, although this is infrequent. Is the role for MOJ reform or MOJ Digitech ? If MoJ Digitech there were 6 roles advertised over last month or so but we didn't hear any outcome. The role is for MoJ Digitech. As not all of the 6 previously advertised Web Ops Digitech roles were filled, we have gone back to DOS with the remaining vacant roles. Unsuccessful Suppliers from the previous DOS exercise will receive feedback within the next 2-3 weeks 2. Is this role for MoJ Digitech or MoJ Reform? The role is for MoJ digitech.
