Tender description

This is a request for information and is not a tender.Buckinghamshire County Council want to introduce a waste data management system which will provide the capability to perform more complex analysis and forecasting, ultimately reduce staff management overheads and provide a responsive and interactive system. The key benefits will include removing areas of duplication, bringing efficiencies in time, resources and data entry. These improvements will encourage channel shift, save money, and improve the BCC reputation. BCC manages significant amounts of data, which are processed by data owners within the team. To date, the main focus has been on performance reporting rather than genuine statistical analysis, which drives service, client insight and informs commissioning decisions. Their current model of information gathering and sharing, and the limited creation of intelligence and insight that exists is unlikely to effectively support the BCC Leadership team, Members or Officers in providing the breadth of evidence and analysis required, or support the new demands as Business Units develop their new models of delivery. They require more in-depth analysis of the issues they are responding to, better ways of tracking the impact of their interventions and models that enable them to predict and forecast future demand. This will lead to sound evidence used to inform decision making and the development of new and innovative ways of delivering services.
