Tender description

Modal Training directly supports the Key Strategic Business Sector of Ports and Logistics, but due to their reliance on transport, also significantly supports the Chemicals and Food sectors. In all cases, Modal Training will assist businesses in reducing their carbon footprint through higher productivity, lower accident incidents and reduced use of fuel while training. It will also provide the potential for an additional focus for the Digital sector in supporting and developing the use of simulators and simulation. Service Required Modal requires some modular classrooms to be installed into two industrial areas of its site at Immingham. The units should fully comply with current building regulations as of November, 2016. The specifications are set out as below however a critical factor of this project is the delivery to site. The crane units will be installed week commencing 13th February, 2017 and the rail units week commencing 27th February, 2017. You should describe in detail how you propose to meet these deadlines. You are also required to note the scoring criteria on page 23 of this document. Requirement Rail Unit Specification • Current Building Control regulation compliant • Building to be 1 step raised floor level, building control • Plastisol board - Sargasso RAL 5003 • Suspended ceiling • Double boarded insulated partition walls • Wall hung A/C with Heat recovery in each classroom • Flooring all other areas Polysafe Vinyl flooring - Grey • Dado Trunking to 2 walls to include 4 double data and 6 double 13amp sockets in each room (1 double Skt to include ups) • Anthracite coloured window frames to double glazed units • Aluminium Glazed entrance door - Anthracite • LED ceiling mounted lighting with emergency lighting in each • 16 Changing lockers - Male area • 8 Changing lockers - Female area • Toilets and washing as per drawing • Cleaners facilities as per drawing Crane Specification • Current Building Control regulation compliant • Current DDA compliance • Building to be floor level • Structural height 2700mm - see elevation drawing • Plastisol board - Sargasso RAL 5003 • Suspended ceiling • Double boarded insulated partition walls • Wall hung A/C with Heat recovery • Carpet tile finish - Heavy use - Grey • Dado Trunking to 2 walls to include 4 double data and 6 double 13amp sockets in each room (1 double Skt to include ups) • Aluminium powder coated double glazed frame and door to each room • Integral venetian blinds to all glazed units • LED ceiling mounted lighting with emergency lighting in each
