Request for Information for a short to medium term solution for the treatment and disposal of the council’s municipal residual waste

North Lincolnshire Council is inviting soft market testing responses from providers of waste treatment and disposal solutions for a short to medium term solution for the treatment and disposal of the council’s municipal residual waste. The council currently produces around 47,000 tonnes per annum of municipal residual waste, this is composed of two main waste streams: a) Domestic Waste collected from households in black sacks or wheeled bins, (Approx 44000 tonnes) b) Larger items collected by the council’s bulky items household service or brought by residents to the council’s network of HRC sites and deposited into the site skips. (Approx 3000 tonnes) The purpose of the Soft Market Testing exercise is to confirm market appetite for delivering a solution based upon the above, or highlight if the market can offer other solutions that could deliver the best value for money. The council hopes to deliver a solution which offers best value outcomes and by undertaking soft market testing the council seeks consultation with the market on the feasibility of this approach. Providers are invited to download a copy of the council's brief and complete and submit a Request for Information Questionnaire. Please note this is not a formal procurement procedure.
