Tender description
We are seeking a strategic partner to establish and manage a new Youth Housing Hub in Bristol. The partner will manage a co-located team including council housing advisers and social workers as well as partner staff. The hub will service young people aged 16-21 at risk of homelessness and care leavers. It will provide information, advice and assistance relating to housing including peer education in schools; it will carry out triage and assessments including home visits; it will work with young people and their families to prevent homelessness and help young people to return to or stay living with their family; it will make referrals into supported accommodation and coordinate case review meetings; it will help young people to access settled accommodation and help them access education, training and employment and other support to meet their holistic needs. The budget envelope is likely to be up to 300 000 GBP per year. Information will be published on the council website detailed above. Providers are invited to attend a soft market testing event to meet commissioners details and how to book are on the following link: https://www.bristol.gov.uk/housing/commissioning-homelessness-prevention-services We want a partner with experience of working with young people at risk of homelessness and/or their families who is able to bring additional value to the council funded services for these young people and their families. The partner will be required to provide suitable premises in central Bristol for the Youth Housing Hub and will need to demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with other local services for care leavers, young people at risk of homelessness and their families. Providers will be expected to indicate by 17:00 on the 21.12.2016, whether or not they would be interested in tendering for this contract as well as their proposals for premises for the hub by completing a form from the above website and emailing it to joanna.roberts@bristol.gov.uk
