Tender description

Dwr Cymru Cyfyngedig (DCC) has a requirement for GCMS-Analytical System, GC QQQ and LC QQQ to identify the range of DBPs (Disinfection By-Products) of public health significance that are a potential risk at Dwr Cymru Welsh Waters (DCWW) Waste Treatment Works (WTW) and to develop analytical techniques for their detection and for the characterisation of their precursors. The bacteriological tests confirm the safety of the water supply and that the processes at our 66 Water Treatment Works are effective. The laboratory also carries out chemical tests, from simplistic PH and colour tests to testing for a range of over 40 metals, nitrates, phosphates, pesticides and herbicides. DCWW also operates a smaller laboratory at Bretton in North Wales. Instrumentation required will be split into 3 Lots: — Lot 1 — GC-MS Analytical System — Lot 2 — GC QQQ — Lot 3 — LC QQQ.
