Tender description

Health Education England is looking to place contracts for the delivery of Improving Access to Psychological Therapy education programmes to support the required growth in services to be delivered by NHS England. This is split in to 2 programmes:- — Lot 1: Low Intensity (PWP) IAPT — Lot 2: High Intensity (HIT) IAPT Tenderers may bid for either lot or both lots. Each lot will be evaluated separately. The contract start date is 1.4.2017 and will end on 31.3.2019. The process will be a competitive one managed by Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust using the In-Tend e-tendering system. Accordingly, interested suppliers will need to register on and submit their tender via the In-Tend system for which there is no charge at:- https://in-tendhost.co.uk/leicspart/aspx/Home This tender is an open one and is being conducted under the OJEU Light Touch regime. This relates to the Low Intensity (Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner) programme which should be delivered in accordance with nationally agreed standards set by the British Psychological Society. Scale of Business Health Education England will fund between 50 to 70 places on this programme in 2017/18 This may be split between multiple Education Providers, and intakes. Additional places may be funded subject to the NHS England expansion programme or other planning processes. Programme Delivery. The Education provider must have the ability to deliver the programme in suitable localities across the east of England (within reason) based on demand from service. The Education Provider needs to consider future delivery of the programme through both existing and emerging pathways. The Education Provider will work with Health Education England when planning dates for programme delivery to ensure this is aligned to service demand. The Education provider will have a role in ensuring students receive effective supervision in practice. This relates to the High Intensity Therapy programme which should be delivered in accordance with nationally agreed standards set by the British Psychological Society. Scale of Business. Health Education England will fund between 20 to 30 places on this programme in 2017/18. Health Education England is looking to appoint one Education provider only for this business. Additional places may be funded subject to the NHS England expansion programme or other planning outcomes. Programme Delivery. The Education provider must have the ability to deliver the programme in suitable localities across the east of England (within reason) based on demand from service. The Education Provider needs to consider future delivery of the programme through both existing and emerging pathways. The Education Provider will work with Health Education England when planning dates for programme delivery to ensure this is aligned to service demand. The Education provider will have a role in ensuring students receive effective supervision in practice.
