Tender description

Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is committed to improving the lives of people living in Southend-on-Sea with a social care support need, to maximise independence and provide enabling care and support. The design of the Care and Support at Home service has been informed by extensive engagement with the public, carers, the provider market and key stakeholders. The Council wishes to commission a service that enables customers and improves their wellbeing and quality of life. An enablement approach lies at the heart of the service we wish to contract for care and support at home. The Council recognises that the lives of individuals are not ‘static’, they improve or fluctuate, and therefore, a flexible and responsive support provision is required to facilitate and maximise independence. Southend-on-Sea Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably experienced and qualified service providers capable of providing high quality Care and Support at Home services for individuals throughout the borough. This contract will be split into 5 lots: Lot 1 — Care and Support at Home (East, East Central, West and West Central Localities). Lot 2 — Home Again Service. Lot 3 — Community Support. Lot 4 — Spot Provider Framework. Lot 5 — Complex Needs Framework. Providers can apply for one or more of the Lot 1 Locality Lots, however, it is our preference that a single Service Provider will only be awarded up to a maximum of 1 Locality lot.
