Tender description

To tackle the rise in excess weight in the adult population of North Yorkshire, the Council wishes to commission a service provider to deliver a tier two adult weight management service in all seven districts across North Yorkshire. In line with national guidance, the Weight Management Service will be delivered as a multicomponent, twelve week programme that includes weekly nutritional advice (including weigh-in) and physical activity, underpinned by structured behaviour change strategies. The provider will have a robust delivery plan which includes an innovative model of delivery to achieve weight loss targets for adults aged eighteen and over with a body mass index (BMI) of twenty five or above.
