Festival, Event Management and Promotion Expertise

Tender description

On behalf of the Governments Marine Coordination Group, the Marine Institute is seeking to engage a provider of Event Management Expertise to manage and deliver SeaFest 2016 in Galway. SeaFest is an annual, broad based celebration focused on raising public awareness of marine matters and developments in the marine sector. In 2016 the event will be held in Galway City centre, including the harbour area. A number of public service organisations, including the Marine Institute, are supporting the event by undertaking to organise events that contribute to the overall festival. It is envisaged that these events will be organised on a standalone basis by the relevant organisations, with central coordination of an overall programme of events with associated publicity and marketing. Participating organisations, having been accepted onto the centrally controlled programme will be free to use the SeaFest logo. The successful respondent to this tender will play a key part in this coordination function, and will also organise a number of other, public and industry facing, events, including sourcing appropriate funding through charges or sponsorship.
