Tender description

The University of Southampton is seeking a collaboration partner/ subcontractor to develop/ upgrade a fundamental part of an existing marine electromagnetic (EM) system. This marine EM system consists essentially of a high voltage step-down unit coupled to a remote-controlled subsea transmitter capable of high power switching output. The potential partner is required to have a track record of marine EM system development and/or application. The main objective of this requisition/ collaboration is the development and integration of a complete remote-controlled/ tethered subsea unit that primarily consisted of — a programmable/ controllable system (via fibre optic) which allows users to pre-programmed complex waveforms/ patterns, and — subsequently transmit these patterns through the transmitter/ amplifier. This subsea unit must include relevant instrumentations for data-recording, control and feedback.
