Tender description

North Tyneside Council’s Court of Protection (COP) Team currently undertakes a number of functions in relation to service users who lack mental capacity to deal with their own finances and have no other person to act on their behalf. Once the service user is deceased the estate needs to be appropriately administered to relatives or the state. The COP Team does not possess the necessary genealogy skills required to search for relatives and verify their identity. It is the intention of the Authority, therefore, to engage with an experienced genealogist research organisation to provide information of any known beneficiaries to such deceased service users. Keywords: research, genealogist
