Tender description

Ealing Council has a statutory responsibility to provide social care services to children and young people with additional needs. Domiciliary care covers the provision of: Homecare — provision of short term care at home for children and young people with disabilities, additional needs and or complex health needs. Community support — provision of longer term befriending, inclusion and positive activities to children and young people with additional needs. Ealing Council children services will be the main commissioner and will commission service for children and young people aged 0-18. This DPS provides the facility to extend services for young people post their 18th birthday helping to facilitate a smooth transition to adult services. Domiciliary care services can provide for a range of services in order to help achieve service user outcomes as set out in more detail in the Specification. These include: — Personal care — such as washing, dressing, — Basic health care support and clinical needs to allow the child to remain at home, — Support to promote social inclusion, — Respite for parents, — Short term care of siblings to allow parental care of child with disabilities, — Home support — such as cooking, cleaning, ironing, shopping, etc., — Service must be available 7 days a week including bank holidays from 7:00 — 22:00, — Where required the service will provide overnight care. For LOT 2 packages of care Suppliers will be expected and must be able to deliver packages of support to children with complex health needs and or challenging behaviour.
