Buoy Marine Platform Satellite Data Services

Tender description

At present a requirement exists for the supply of marine platform satellite data services. This is an on-going service for communicating with Marine Institute’s offshore buoys and marine platforms. The Marine Institute requires marine platform satellite data services. This will consist of a data plan and a sim card. Data services could be required at any location but as an example the 'M' station weather and wave monitoring network are located at the following positions: M2: 53.4800°N 05.4250°W M3: 51.2166°N 10.5500°W M4: 54.9982°N 09.992154°W M5: 51.6900°N 06.7040°W M6: 53.07482°N 15.88135°W Further information on this program can be found at www.marine.ie/databuoy Data volumes are approximately 80 bytes per message, with 1 messages being sent per SIM per hour. Messages are required to arrive with the client hourly. Message transmission time through the system (being received from the buoy to being reported to the client) needs to reliable and within 60 minutes. Tenderers should supply information supporting reliability/uptime claims. Supporting information must show that:  The messages are delivered from the source to an end user nominated email address, complete and not corrupted.  The time from message transmission to arrival with the client.
