Tender description

Sefton Council are looking for a contractor to undertake one-off removal / redistribution of windblown sand adjacent to the promenade / cyclepath between Cambridge Road and Mariners Road in Waterloo / Crosby. The aim is to pull back sand from the seaward side of the promenade to alter the slope on the sand dunes and reduce the amount of sand blowing over onto the promenade surface. This may involve some sensitive reprofiling of the dunes on either side of the prom. The contractor will also be required to remove sand from a linking path through the dunes to the promenade which is currently buried. Keywords: Beach, Dunes, Sand, Excavation
