Upgrade to Shower and Toilet Ventilation at HMP The Verne

Tender description

The Secretary of State for the Ministry of Justice will be inviting tenderers to carry out works to upgrade the ventilation systems to the shower and toilet facilities at HMP The Verne, Portland, Dorset, DT5 1EQ. The work will be tendered and the Contract awarded using Government Conditions of Contract, GC Works 2. The works will include removing the existing extractor fans and redundant ductwork. Installation of new ductwork, extractor fans and associated controls. Installation of extract grilles and weather louvers. All materials, tools and equipment required for completion of work to be provided by contractor. All waste materials, rubbish and debris to be removed from site by contractor. The Contract value is estimated to be between £50,000 to £100,000 It should be noted those that are invited to ITT stage will be required to attend a site visit on 3rd July 2008 as part of the tender process. The anticipated timetable for this Contract is as follows: Return of PQQ: 25 June 2008 Release of Invitation to Tender Documents: 30 June 2008 Return of Invitation to Tender Documents: 21 July 2008 Award Contract: End of July 2008
