Repair and maintenance services of motor vehicles and associated equipment

Tender description

The Authority operates a fleet of approximately 370 vehicles comprising a range of types and manufacturer allocated throughout the Council's various Service units and Community Groups and which are in daily use on a wide variety of tasks in dispersed locations within the County of Devon. To obtain maximum benefit and flexibility of use of the Authority's fleet, vehicles are moved within the County as required. The Authority intends to let a multi lot contract for the maintenance and repair of the fleet for a period of 5 years from the 1.4.2017, with the Council having options to extend by 2 additional 1 year periods. The contract is for the use of Devon County Council however a very small number of vehicles used by Libraries Unlimited and the Youth Service in Devon, as well as other services which may separate from DCC over the next 5 years, may use the contract. The Authority has created 4 Lots, dividing Devon into North and South and Light and Heavy Vehicles. Operators will be required to provide a wide range of vehicle services including servicing, provision of MOT's, repairs, vehicle recovery and potentially vehicle delivery and collection. Lot 1 is applicable for the South Devon Area and Light Vehicles only. Operators will be required to provide a wide range of vehicle services including servicing, provision of MOT's, repairs, vehicle recovery and potentially vehicle delivery and collection. Lot 2 is applicable for the South Devon Area and Heavy Vehicles only. Operators will be required to provide a wide range of vehicle services including servicing, provision of MOT's, repairs, vehicle recovery and potentially vehicle delivery and collection. Lot 3 is applicable for the North Devon Area and Light Vehicles only. Operators will be required to provide a wide range of vehicle services including servicing, provision of MOT's, repairs, vehicle recovery and potentially vehicle delivery and collection. Lot 4 is applicable for the North Devon Area and Heavy Vehicles only.
