Tender description

Repair and maintenance services of cranes. The Authority has a potential requirement for the complete Overhaul of Warrior Crane Kits as fitted to the Warrior Repair (FV512) and Recovery (FV513) Armoured Vehicle Variants. Warrior Crane Kits comprising the following: Crane Model W 307M NSN: 9MCV/2590-99-255-2865 Main Boom — Kit Number WR/WRC1. Derrick Ram — Kit Number WR/WRC2. Superstructure — Kit Number WR/WRC3. Slew Ring Assembly — Kit Number WR/WRC4. Crane Items — Kit Number WR/WRC16. The Authority's estimated annual requirement currently stands at Qty 10 Warrior Crane Kits per year. The Authority requires that Warrior Crane Kits are collected and delivered from the Authority's depot in Telford, Shropshire. Warrior Crane Kits are to be repaired and subsequently packed and delivered to the Authority rebuilt to A1 Standard as per OEM Specification and in accordance with the relevant AESP Documentation which will be provided as part of any eventual Invitation to Tender. Completed Articles will need to be supplied with a Certificate of Conformity for the Crane Structure, a Crane Rope Certificate, A Crane Hook Certificate and a Crane Test Certificate. Interested Companies should note that this requirement is in direct support of a Vehicle Overhaul Programme, and therefore delivery in accordance with the Authority's requirements is of particular importance due to the subsequent embodiment of overhauled equipment into a vehicle. The Authority may wish to conduct a pre-qualification exercise to assist in the down selection of prospective tenderers. Only those companies who can demonstrate a sufficient level of competence, experience and resources against the Authority's pre-qualification criteria will be invited to tender. It should be noted that the Award software package may be used as part of the pre-qualification/tender assessment process. QA Standards or equivalent: The Contractor shall hold and maintain a certification to BS EN ISO 9001:2000/2008, issued by an accredited certification body. Interested parties should in the first instance, submit an expression of interest, together with their ISO accreditation certificate including an appropriate scope covering this requirement to the Authority's nominated representative. Expressions of interest should not exceed 3 x A4 Size Pages. Please note that late expressions will not be considered, nor will expressions where no ISO Certificate with appropriate scope is provided. The announcement of a possible future requirement is not to be construed as confirmation that a tender/contract will subsequently be issued. The issue of a possible future requirement, or the issue of an Invitation to Tender, is not to be construed as a commitment by the Authority to place an order as a result of the tendering stage or at a later stage. Any expenditure, work or effort prior to any contract award is accordingly a matter solely for the commercial judgement of the potential supplier.
